A decade behind the chair. Six years teaching. One conviction: the cut is the outcome of a decision, and the decision is the thing worth learning.
Beginning
Jorge picked up his first pair of clippers at 17, cutting friends in his kitchen. He apprenticed under a master barber in Miami, then moved through three shops in five years — learning what made each chair different, and what stayed the same.
Teaching
The first workshop was six barbers in a friend's shop after hours. Today Jorge teaches across the US, Spain, and Mexico, and reaches thousands of barbers online. His approach hasn't changed: slow the cut down, and show the decision.
